Bespoke Jewellery Design
At Paul David jewellery, we specialise in creating beautiful bespoke pieces of jewellery, which are designed and made in both our Marple and Glossop jewellery workshops.
Bespoke jewellery can be shaped by your own vision, not only ensuring you get precisely what you want but also a piece of jewellery that is unique to you.
Creating a bespoke piece of jewellery shouldn’t equate to additional expense – and due to our low overheads and in-house design and manufacturing, we not only offer massive savings compared to an off the shelf equivalent on the high street, but a unique and superior quality piece.
Our bespoke jewellery service allows you to create a unique piece that reflects your own personal style, purpose and budget. Paul David Jewellery offers bespoke service for many different items, including bespoke rings, earrings, pendants, bracelets and bangles.
Starting The Process
Whether you need some inspiration, or you already have an idea for your jewellery design, our designers can help to start the process for you –simply book a free jewellery design consultation in our Marple of Glossop showroom and we will explore different design, precious metal and stone options.
Our jewellery designers will discuss your budget and help guide you through the different options available. If you have any specific requirements, particularly with regards to stone sizes, shapes and quality, please let us know before the appointment so we can prepare a selection of stones ready for you to view.
Designing Your Piece of Jewellery
Once we agree on an initial design concept, we will set to work on designing your unique piece of jewellery. Starting with traditional sketches, we will develop this with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) creating 3D photorealistic renders of your piece of jewellery. Once the CAD Renders have been approved, we will then start the manufacture and creation process.
Jewellery Creation
Using either traditional handmade or modern Computer-Aided Design processes we will start to create your bespoke piece of jewellery.
We will either hand carve or create a resin/wax via CAD to create a cast via the lost wax casting method – this means that the finished piece of jewellery is the replica of the prototype that has been created. We cast in your chosen metal using all precious metals. Once the item has been cast, our jewellers will polish and assemble your piece by hand. If your bespoke jewellery design is stone set, it will then pass to our stone setter who meticulously sets each stone that has been selected, by hand under a microscope.
Once all stones are set, the item then has a final polish and steam clean, before being passed to quality control and sent to the Assay Office, where the metal is hallmarked with its relevant metal and purity.
The Finished Piece
Once the item arrives back from hallmarking, our jewellers will perform a final quality check before the piece is photographed and appraised for insurance purposes.
Our bespoke jewellery design process is a collaborative experience and we welcome you to come and view your jewellery piece at every stage of creation.
There is nothing better than seeing your chosen bespoke jewellery piece brought to life.
Jewellery Remodelling
Re-style your unwanted jewellery into something unique and outstanding.
At Paul David Jewellery, we can transform your old or sentimental jewellery into something dazzling. Our remodelling service is a great way to re-purpose an existing piece of jewellery that you may no longer be in love with.
Remodelling existing jewellery is a sustainable way of creating a truly bespoke item. Whether your piece feels dated, is damaged or no longer suited to your taste, there are endless possibilities when it comes to jewellery remodelling
Jewellery remodelling offers you the perfect opportunity to keep those precious memories and family history alive, whilst giving them a fresh new lease of life in a bespoke piece that reflects your own style.
Our Jewellers will recycle/upcycle your existing jewellery and create you a beautiful new piece that’s not only eco-friendly but in most cases cost-effective as we can often reuse your precious metals and stones.
